LETTER FROM MR. RANSOM

CHRIS MICHAEL

FRIDAY, APRIL 03, 2020

Dear Parents and Students,

These are difficult and challenging circumstance we find ourselves in at the moment; we wish all of you the best and hope this situation will soon pass. The goal for the remainder of the school term is to reinforce the gains made by our students up to this point and keep them prepared to enter the next grade. The packets and online assignments prepared by the staff, for your student, will do that. We will be available to communicate thru e-mail and class Dojo to help our students thru the packets. We will continue to reach out for the remainder of the school term with any updates or information as it becomes available.

It is important to set aside time to review and work thru the packets, I can’t stress how important that will be for your child. Notifications received from you, stating the student completed the packet for the week to their teacher will suffice for completion of that week’s assignments. We have enclosed a weekly sign in for those who can’t communicate thru e-mail or Class Dojo. We will not require the packets be returned just the notification the packets were completed. The 4th nine weeks grade will contain a letter grade no lower than the 3rd nine weeks grade. In no way will the 4th nine weeks grades have an adverse effect on students’ semester grades and your help with this can only improve the students’ grade for the semester.

We will continue to offer grab and go breakfasts and lunches from 8:30am to 11:30am, Monday thru Friday for students 18yrs and younger. These are trying times for everyone and our purpose is not to add to that, in any way, shape or form. Our staff will help in any way we are able; we will get thru this, it‘s not ideal but I do have faith in our staff, students and community to overcome this adversity. Please follow all CDC guidelines, social distancing, frequent hand washing ect…

Sincerely,

Jeff Ransom
