Today was the last day of the grab and go meal program that has been in place since school was dismissed due to the Covid-19 virus. We hope everyone is having a great summer!
Day 2 of cheer clinic for tryouts is tomorrow! If your child is wanting to try out but wasn't able to make it today, they can come tomorrow! If you have any questions or concerns feel free to email us at email@example.com
Cheer clinic for tryouts will begin tomorrow at 9 AM. Your child needs to bring their completed packet to the clinic. We will be practicing outside this week so if your child can bring their own water please have them do so.
Cheer tryouts for the 20-21 school year will be held June 15th-18th. This is for students who will be in 6th-8th grade next school year. Cheer clinic for the tryouts will be June 15th-17th from 9am-11am. Tryouts will be June 18th at 9am. Packets for tryouts/clinic are available to pick up in the office. If your child is going to tryout, please bring the completed packet to cheer clinic on June 15th.
Pre-k enrollment for the 2020-2021 school year has been set for June 5th starting at 9 a.m. Please bring child's birth certificate, shot record and Indian card (if applicable). If your child was enrolled in the CDI (formerly Ki-bois) Headstart at Liberty this past year, you will still need to enroll. If you have any questions, please call the office at (918) 427-3808
I just wanted to give everyone a quick update. Our grab and go meals are going to continue through the month of June. We still have several of our student's personal items. Parents can drop by at their convenience to pick those items up. We are still running a slightly scaled back schedule so you might call the office first if you plan to come by in the afternoon. We have a DVD of the 8th grade virtual graduation available for our graduates to pick up if you haven't already. Beginning Tuesday, May 12th students can come by the school and get personal items from their lockers. Parents of KG-4th students will be able to drive back to their building and we will bring their items out to them like we are with the grab and go meals. Pre-K items will be available for pick up in the cafeteria. The 5th-8th grade students will go in one at a time and get their items from their lockers. We will have a drop box set out where students can return textbooks, library books or any items needing to be returned to the school. Please adhere to the social distancing guidelines during this process and follow the below schedule during the first week. If you are unable to come by the school during the scheduled times, please call the office during the week of May 15th to schedule a time. The schedule for drop off and pick up next week will be: Tuesday - PK-2nd Wednesday - 3rd-4th Thursday - 5th & 7th Friday - 6th & 8th 8:30-12:00 each day We will also pass out report cards to the students during this process and our 8th grade students will receive their diploma & tassel.
Yearbooks may now be ordered online at ruthkelly.schooldayphoto.com. When ordering, type in Liberty Roland yearbook 2020. Yearbooks will be delivered in the fall after school resumes in August
Parents and students, Liberty School’s last day for distance learning will be Friday, May 8th. We will have new assignments for the remaining 3 weeks posted on our teachers' pages on the school website and the final paper packet will be available beginning Monday, April 20th at the cafeteria between 8:30 and 11:30. We really appreciate all the hard work parents have been putting in during this time assisting with educating our students. Parents, if your student(s) receive speech, occupational or physical therapy, there are packets at the school to be picked up. Pickup is Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Please pull up to the cafeteria, remaining in your vehicle, and someone will assist you. We hope everyone is staying well!!!
Parents and Students, Monday we will begin our distance learning program. You will have a couple of options to choose from, paper packets or online assignments. If you would like a paper packet, they will be available at our Grab and Go meal pick-up site between 8:30 and 11:30 M-F. Just pull up to the cafeteria doors, stay in your car and we will place the packet your child needs on the table. The paper packets are for the next two weeks. We will have another packet ready for pickup on April the 20th. If your child will participate online, the assignments will be listed on their teacher's web page located on our school website or app. All communication with your teacher will be via email or Class Dojo. We also wanted to let everyone know the school's wifi is open to the public, and we have installed a booster to assist with access in the main parking lot. Eagle Community, we are in the process of completing our distance learning plan. Our teachers are attempting to contact a parent of each student using the Class Dojo communication app. If you received a text or message from your student's teacher please respond to the message by Wednesday morning so that we can have an accurate count of those students who have been contacted. March 25, the Oklahoma State Board of Education made an emergency ruling too allow the state to provide a medical exemption for the requirement of the results of the 8th grade reading test to receive their driver's license permits. The Oklahoma Department of Public safety will satisfy these requirements.
Liberty will begin distance learning on 4-6. If you have internet service please go to our website at liberty.seq.k12.ok.us or our APP and read the latest news article. For those students without internet access, paper packets will be available at the Grab and Go Meal location.
Eagle Community, in the news section of our school website/app we have provided an update to the current situation. Please read the update and know that more information should be coming later in the week.
To take part in the meal program, drive up to the cafeteria doors and honk your horn. School personnel will bring the meals to the table outside. Please remain in your car until all meals are placed on the table, at that time you can exit your vehicle to retrieve the meals.
Liberty School will be providing “grab and go” breakfast and lunch for anyone under the age of 18. The breakfast and lunch will be served together. These meals may be picked up at the cafeteria between the hours of 8:30 and 11:30. Procedures for the pick-up will follow.

Our yearly Box Tops contest has officially started!!! Each class collecting 350 or more will get popcorn for their class and the class collecting the most will get a party. The deadline for Box Tops to be turned in is March 31st!
The 5/6 grade basketball games scheduled for today will be played on Thursday at the time listed on the brackets. The times have been changed for the 7/8 grade. Liberty’s 7/8 grade boys will play at 6:00 and the girls will play at 7:00.

There will be no school Monday, January 20, 2020, for Martin Luther King Day. Classes will resume Tuesday, January 21.
Just a reminder- we are asking that you do not send your child to school if they are experiencing symptoms such as fever, headache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, chills, weakness or dizziness. During this time of year we send students home for a temperature greater than 99.5 degrees Fahrenheit. Students must be fever-free without the use of Tylenol / Ibuprofen for 24 hours before returning to school. Additionally, Liberty School will no longer be able to administer over the counter (OTC) medications such as tylenol and ibuprofen without a note from the physician.
Parents, tomorrow for the Thanksgiving Dinner, if you have more than one student you are going to eat with, we ask that you eat at the earliest lunchtime of your children. Please send a note with the older child/children telling them what time to go to the cafeteria. This will help to eliminate alot of the confusion..We hope everyone enjoys their day!!

Monday, August 26th, is school picture day!!! Also Oklahoma Prevent Blindness will be here for vision screenings for Pre-K through 8th grade. You only need to send the note back if you do NOT want your child screened and if your child wears glasses, make sure they bring them!
